Attorney Jones was very knowledgeable about the type of case I was seeking consultation for. He explained things clearly and patiently. He answered all my questions and was very reassuring during my case.

I sought a lawyer for my divorce with custody and was connected with Douglas Jones. I consistently felt that Mr. Jones was trying to get through my case as quickly as possible without fighting for what I wanted. In the end my divorce decree and child custody agreement were mostly copied and pasted. I've since found many errors within that are easily exploited in my ex's favor. My new lawyer almost had an aneurysm trying to make sense of the paperwork. Sure, he was cordial enough, but his skills as a family court lawyer are lacking to say the least. I would never recommend Mr. Jones for anything involving divorce or child custody.

I felt like he was fighting for what he wanted or how he thought it should go. For the amount of money I paid, I think he should have fought for what I wanted. I wish he would have explained things to me a little better. I never needed to go seek legal advice from lawyer before, never been divorced. Divorce is never fun I know that , just a little more explanation to question I asked would have been better! In the end I'm divorced, still getting trashed on by my children's mother.

I reached out to Douglas Jones via the website and he never contacted me back. I was disappointed and found it unprofessional. I was recommended to this attorney but I will have to find someone else. I am not going to say I don't recommend this attorney, it was just upsetting that I reached out and never heard back.

We thought he would be a good person to go to for a case about custody and child support. He charged us $3300 up front for a big case that ended up being very small, and did not want to give a refund. He also wanted to charge us over $500 for my grandson to get his last name changed. We found out it only costs about $100 and is easy to do. Mr. Jones did very little, copied and pasted a lot, overcharged for his services, did not return phone calls, and tried to prolong this case. We tried to dismiss the case and he told us it could not be done, then we found out it could, Jones told us in order to do this he needed a letter and signature to get it filed. This was the night before the deadline to get anything done before it would go to a court hearing. I had already completed and filed the form. He also asked for more money, I checked with the court. There is a refund pending, do do not pay anything until the charges get verified. I recommend NOT to use this attorney.
