My father unexpectedly passed away in 2020 from COVID without a will. Dan Babyak told us that he could resolve probate in about 6 months. Dan ended up ghosting us for multiple months at a time, telling us not to call the number HE provided when we called asking about the status. He then ghosted us permanently, reportedly leaving the firm and not notifying us that he'd left. We found that out after calling the firm. And FOUR YEARS LATER... the estate is just now reaching a conclusion. How'd that happen, you ask? By hiring another law firm & attorney. There are no doubt many great attorneys out there. Silas Pisani (who was able to finally bring this to a close) of Slater and Zurz is one of them. Dan on the other hand epitomizes the negative lawyer tropes. He promised us competence and diligence. We received neither. The lack of closure prolonged the grieving process by years. I vehemently recommend finding alternative counsel to Dan Babyak. If could give zero stars, I would.
