About Christine J. Felix, Q.C.,

About Me

Early in my career, I was acting for a plaintiff in a personal injury trial. The defendant’s lawyer was a highly respected senior lawyer. It was a challenge but we succeeded at trial winning the case. Even after 25 years in practice, I still remember that feeling of achievement in helping my client and in persuading the court of the merits of the case.

I joined CAM LLP in October 2016, marking a return to acting for injured people. I am delighted to be back. It is personally satisfying to be able to assist people who have been injured. I am also interested in the medical aspects of personal injury law, and the variety of cases…no two files or people are alike except in that they need my help.

I started my career acting for personal injury clients back in the 1990s, and for the last 12 years, I have worked as a defence lawyer for insurance companies. This experience has given me excellent insight into personal injury claims from both the plaintiff’s perspective and the insurance company’s perspective and, in particular, what needs to be done to prove the claim to the insurance company.

CAM LLP has a reputation for being reasonable and respectful in their dealings with everyone including clients, lawyers, and adjusters. This approach aligns with my style of practice and, in my experience, being reasonable and respectful is the key to the kind of working relationship that produces much better results for clients. We take a practical, common sense approach to the resolution of a claim.

CAM LLP also has a reputation as an excellent firm that deals with highly complex files and intentionally takes on lower file volumes so that we have the opportunity to get to know our clients’ files inside and out. I am happy to have this tremendous opportunity to use my skills to help people.

What Happens When You Hire Me

When you call me or come to see me, I will guide you through collecting all the information that is relevant to your accident and your personal injury claim. I am a critical thinker and because of my experience working both for and against insurance companies, I am able to quickly determine the possible arguments for and against you in your case.

I will explain the standard steps in a claim and what the next steps will be. I will answer your questions and return your phone calls and emails.

I often get asked how much a claim is worth. In serious injury cases that assessment is usually done after all the medical evidence has been collected and your treating doctor(s) can indicate what you can most likely expect as far as your future condition and future treatment.

Hired Attorney

The other review does not do Christine justice at all. I was lucky enough to have her take my case midway through my claim and she truely put in 110% until the end, and negotiating a very deserving settlement out of court. She's responsive, compassionate, and will fight for what is right and what you deserve. She makes the claims process feel effortless, as it normally is quite stressful. Can't recommend her enough. (Whoever said she dresses inappropriately is out to lunch, she was dressed to impress and in a suit for all of the time I had spent with her)

Hired Attorney

When 1st met Christine in her law office, I thought she was the janitor, very grubie and dirty dresser. When she tried to lie on my behalf about submitting some forms and when she got caught, she has tried to make me as the bad one. This is the worse lawyer in Edmonton and would never hire her.
