Andy is a member of the Professional Liability Department where he focuses his practice on the defense of public entities, police, prison and correctional officers, as well as elected officials in civil rights, employment and land use matters.
In addition to the core areas of his practice, Andy handles a wide array of complex litigation involving liability for municipalities and their employees. He also has experience defending motor vehicle and premises liability suits.
Before beginning his legal career, Andy served as Executive Director of Dauphin County Pretrial Services, working closely with the Court of Common Pleas, prosecutors, defense counsel, law enforcement, and county officials across the Commonwealth.
Andy graduated from Penn State University with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and American Studies. He earned his juris doctor from Widener Commonwealth Law School, where he was appointed President of the Moot Court Honor Society and was inducted into the National Order of Barristers. He was also a member of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society. Andy earned his LL.M. in Trial Advocacy cum laude from the Temple University Beasley School of Law and was named co-recipient of the Faculty Award for outstanding courtroom presentation and performance.
Andy is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of Pennsylvania, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals.
Andy and his wife are avid fans of all things Penn State and enjoy returning to campus for sporting events and to celebrate their daughter's support of THON.
