Hired Attorney

I used Hooey and Company as I was referred by a lawyer friend (I am a former lawyer). I was doing a simple vertical amalgamation with me as the sole shareholder both entities. I had received a quote from 2 different lawyers for the same piece of work - one for $1200, one for $1800. I made a mistake and did not ask Hooey & Company for a quote before proceeding assuming it would be in the same range as the other quotes. My final bill was in excess of $5300. When I came in to do signatures, despite having booked an appointment, I was kept waiting for over 20 minutes and Brent Hooey was surly and not friendly. Prior to posting this review, I had communicated my concern over the price and had provided the firm and Brent an opportunity to address this matter with me. Brent never bothered to respond. Overall - I would highly recommend you shop around and find better service providers. And if you are doing a vertical amalgamation message me and I can refer you to the other quotes I got.
