Alan Pettie hired me to do contract work on his home . The contract work was finished and all requests were fulfilled . Work was held up for weeks at a time because Alan Pettie was trying to learn the trades and do work himself. Several times the men were locked out of the house because Mr. Pettie was golfing and forgot who was coming to do work. He was caught lying on several occasions after trying to do trade work which resulted in damage to other tradesmans work. He did not pay the final bill (40%) giving the excuse that I was away on vacation and not available for a callback. Overall a roque type character and his 2 brothers agreed that his dishonesty nature had always set them apart. They both eventually did not return to work with the brother.
Alan is retired and is removed from the Alberta Law Society Lawyer list. I would not Hire..... 6+ years since our father's passing and still waiting for our fathers estate to be completed. Alan is a beneficiary and has personal conflicts with the other two and only beneficiaries.
