Sarvenaz (Nazy) Fahimi is a partner practicing in several areas of litigation, with a focus on high profile cases of fraud, cases involving qui tam Relators in False Claims Act cases in federal and state courts, and cases involving commercial disputes. She has represented individuals and businesses in both federal and state courts during all stages of litigation, including through all aspects of discovery, trial, and appeals. She has tried several cases to verdict both in federal and state court. Recently, she obtained a favorable jury verdict in federal court on behalf of whistleblowers for violation of the Federal False Claims Act in the area of healthcare, resulting in a judgment of over $25 million. Nazy has worked with the Department of Justice on several False Claims Act cases. She also recently obtained a favorable jury verdict in another federal court where a Silicon Valley company alleged a large European conglomerate violated software licensing agreements. Other notable cases include recently representing a large group of tenants displaced for years by massive flooding in a luxury San Francisco high rise. Most recently, before joining CPM, Nazy worked at a 501(c)(3) non-profit for several years. Prior to that, she began her career practicing in commercial litigation at a prestigious firm in her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota. After moving to the Bay Area, she continued working on antitrust and trade regulation cases, aviation cases, breach of contract and commercial disputes, employment disputes, personal injury cases, insurance coverage and bad faith cases, mass torts, as well as discrimination and civil rights cases, and continues many of these practice areas now at CPM.Nazy graduated cum laude from Marquette University Law School in Wisconsin. During law school, she served as a Member and subsequently a Note and Comment Editor of the Marquette Law Review, earned CALI awards as the highest scoring student, including in Constitutional Law, and became a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, the National Jesuit Honor Society. As an undergraduate, Nazy also received her BA from Marquette University.
