Underberg & Kessler LLP is a law firm with an office in Buffalo, NY. At this office location, there are 5 lawyers practicing general practice, corporate law, business law and 35 other areas of law.
I've worked with Underberg and Kessler for about 5 years. They "inherited" my parents wills and estate materials from a law firm they absorbed. Since then, we've had at least 5 different lawyers we've worked with. Everytime we get a new lawyer, I have to pay at least $1000 in time for them to get up-to-speed on our file. They seem to withhold information from us to draw out the process for more billing. the lawyers are often unprepared also for meetings--even with sick elderly clients.
They completely botched a simple eviction. They were also hired to protect my grandchildren one of whom was abused by his older half brother. My grandchildren were also living with their mother and her drug dealing boyfriend who has a violent criminal record including physically beating my grandchildren's mother in front of her nine year old daughter while she was 5 months pregnant with his child. They also said they would get back rent that the mother and her boyfriend did not pay for 6 months.
Mr Beisker was recommended to make a change our revocable trust. We met with Mr. Beisker and discussed the changes we wanted. Mr. Beisker suggested we put our home into an irrevocable trust. He gave us a verbal quote of $5000 for the living family trust and $2000 for the irrevocable trust. We received a retainer agreement quoting a price of $7500, an increase! We decided to rethink our options and discovered we could create an amendment to the trust. Why didn't he suggest the amendment?
They accused my wife of criminal conduct when she was trying to help their client (a nursing home) recoup money that had been misappropriated by one of her family members. I would not recommend this firm.
