Ronnie Dickey is an associate in the Brunswick office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C., where he practices in health care and medical malpractice matters. Drawing on his experience as a registered nurse, Ronnie brings a clinical perspective to his legal practice and a deep understanding of the complexities of medical care and patient outcomes.
Before joining HBS, Ronnie worked as an associate in a local Savannah firm, where he managed a diverse caseload of medical malpractice and other civil litigation matters. He handled depositions of medical experts, drafted briefs for both state and federal courts, and worked on cases before the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Georgia.
During law school, Ronnie clerked for the Honorable Ronald Thompson of the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit and interned with the City Attorneys of Rincon and Bloomingdale, Georgia. His research and drafting work supported decisions in both civil and criminal cases.
Prior to practicing law, Ronnie worked as an emergency department nurse at two different Georgia hospitals, where he provided acute patient care and managed critical interventions. His medical background continues to inform his legal insight and advocacy for health care providers.
Ronnie earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where he was a member of the Brainerd Currie Honor Society and Phi Delta Phi Honors Society. He received CALI Awards in Jurisdictions and Judgments, Advanced Trial Advocacy, and Secured Transactions. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, summa cum laude, from Georgia Southern University.
