My aunt and I recently had the good fortune of working with Steven Guerra. I can't overstate how grateful I am that we found our way to him. My aunt wanted to translate her will into a trust. Mind you, she is a brilliant woman who is sharp as a tack, to use the well-deserved cliche. She is also in her 80s and has some mobility issues and a general loathing of current technology (and who can blame her). She lives in a great NYC building staffed by people who love her and treat her like family, from the people at the door to the board. Then, there is the management company that processes the paperwork, not in a timely fashion, not in a clear fashion, and not with an evident interest in promptly answering your questions. Oh yes . . . that company. Without boring you to tears with the details, I will say only that they dragged out what should have been an easy process for months.
