Michelle was Excellent to work with. She always responded to emails or phone calls in a timely manner. She also was always very professional, knowledgeable and always kept me up to date on situations and scenarios in my case. I always felt that she was looking out for me. Her billing was very reasonable. I always felt I was getting a great value in my representation. I would absolutely recommend attorney Fitzgerald.

I have worked with Michelle Fitzgerald of Horizons Law Group in a few cases where I needed help from an attorney. One was for a Family Support revision (this was a small but necessary process); and one was to update and create a new trust with my husband, since we married and blended families with several children. This can be a very confusing process, but Michelle and her team made it so easy for us. They listened to us, and advised us on the best options, based on our individual situation. We now have peace of mind, knowing that we have formalized our trust & beneficiaries, and we know what to expect. Michelle even assembled & organized a binder with all of our information, so that we have everything at our fingertips. Having this info came in handy down the line when we purchased a home together. I am so grateful to have Michelle Fitzgerald at Horizons Law Group, as a partner and advocate. I have complete confidence in this group, and would recommend them to everyone!

She was never ready for our appointments; she kept us waiting while she rummaged in her files for the correct forms. She would frequently be confused as to the county in which we were filing. Overall very unprofessional; I trusted her paralegal/clerk more than I trusted her.

Hired Attorney Amy Drout

She was undeniably biased and failed her most basic job as a GAL. We personally would not recommend her to anyone. She did not manage time well. She complained that her father was ill (we sent our sympathies, but we were mid family crisis ourselves). She "completed" her interviews. We didn't hear back for over 4 weeks on case status, only to be RE-ASKED every single question and then waited another two weeks for initial results. She was inconsistent on schedules. She favors women over men and puts her personal biases in situations it does not belong. We have a willing and able father who wants 50/50 custody and is being told no. He has been given 23%-48% and there's zero justification as to why he doesn't get his children 50/50. She does not keep her word. She sat in mediation for 3+ hours and did not help once. Waste of time, money, and family resources. Find a GAL who actually helps families.
