David is chair of Cohen and Wolf's Business & Corporate, Physicians' Practices Groups, and a member of the Real Estate and Commercial Lending Groups. He is a pragmatic, detail-oriented deal-maker who spends much of his time quarterbacking, negotiating and documenting transactions of diverse deal sizes and subject matter. With over three decades of experience, a meaningful percentage of David’s practice is devoted to the legal relationships involving healthcare entities and the entrepreneurial professionals who comprise them.
David chairs the Business Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association. He previously co-chaired the CBA’s LLC Subcommittee that re-wrote Connecticut’s LLC law which became effective July 1, 2017. David is a member of the American, New York and Greater Bridgeport Bar Associations and the American and Connecticut Health Lawyers Associations. He speaks to business and legal audiences about the Connecticut Uniform Limited Liability Company Act as well as physician practice and closely-held business issues. David is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut.
David currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Bridgeport Economic Development Corporation (BEDCO) and serves on the Executive Committee of the Bridgeport Regional Business Council (BRBC), championing economic development initiatives in the Greater Bridgeport area. He previously chaired Bridgeport Downtown Special Services District, a special taxing district spearheading Bridgeport’s downtown renaissance.
David is recognized as a leading lawyer in Connecticut in the area of Corporate/M&A (2016-2018 editions) and Healthcare (2012-2018 editions) by Chambers USA - America's Leading Lawyers for Business, whose sources state that he is a "great negotiator", does "exemplary work" and "is always ahead of the game, anticipating client needs".
