Chris has devoted her career to medical malpractice investigation, litigation and resolution, as well as the improvement of quality of care systems and processes that can give rise to patient harm. She joined the firm in 2025 to bring that deep experience to the leadership of the medical malpractice intake team at Koskoff.
Chris began her career in medical malpractice defense work in CT before joining a commercial insurer to manage and resolve high-exposure medical malpractice claims nationally. In that role, she managed thousands of claims and cases involving patient harm across all aspects of delivery of care systems.She also developed a critical understanding of the inner workings of professional liability insurance including actuarial, underwriting, claims and coverage analysis. She went on to become the Head of Claims with oversight of Risk Management for a major healthcare system in CT.This experience expanded Chris’ work beyond the resolution of medical malpractice claims to include investigation of patient harm events at their inception, as well as advocacy for risk mitigation and quality improvement initiatives. As part of this role, she spearheaded the rebuilding of a communication and resolution program to bring transparency and accountability for patient harm events to patients and their families. This background has equipped Chris with a unique understanding of the healthcare industry and insurance systems underlying the complex medical malpractice landscape.
Chris brings a passion for improvement of patient care to the firm’s current and prospective clients each day. She approaches each client and case with compassionate advocacy and the overarching goal of providing clients and their families with a learned guide in their search for answers.
