He totally told me to just let my ex stay in East St Louis with oyr two kids and her drunk dad. Said my job was to provide for our daughters with my high paying job at Olivet. Glad that distance is a felony now. I was seeing my girls 4 hours a month.
Being represented by Mr. Smietanski was a terrible experience. I was sold after our initial consultation, even though his advice was to not do what I was wanting. Everything was downhill from there. I never felt like he was fighting for me. I was naïve to stay with him for as long as I did but after month after month of rescheduled hearings and only conceding to the other parties demands, I had no choice but to fire him and request the remaining balance of retainer. This will be a shock to you, I know, but somehow he had completely used up all of the funds! DO NOT hire this attorney. He should not have a license to practice law.

Never prepared .Pay your retainer and then you are screwed . Does nothing but the bare minimum ! Retire already lazy fat a55! Worthless sack of sh1t.

Very unprofessional and rude over the phone. Speaks at you and will cut you short. It's either yes sir or no sir. Hung up on me before i could even answer a question, right before my appointment. Only pro, saved me from driving an hour + for a consultation.
