Reviews for Matthew J.
Have you consulted or hired this lawyer?
Leave a review about your experience with this lawyer.Matt made me feel like I was his only client. His response and knowledge was outstanding and cost effective.
He was an excellent listener, gathered relavant facts and provided excellent support and advise. He was very helpful regarding my employment contracts and provided me the consultation necessary to better negotiate. So pleased, that we call upon him again to assist my wife and I with our Wills.
He will put any time to help you. He will not gather video or any evidence of any kind. He won't tell you anything he has planed to do in your defense simply stating I know what I'm doing I got it. When you pay thousands and trust He will defend you just wait soon as time comes for discovery he won't even watch what is available from prosecution and won't submit anything on your behalf simply stating I have a plea deal I think you should take it because you'll face X time. If you don't don't trust him to put any defense or efforts into you or your case he is only taking your money to play public defender who won't waste time on you
I hope leaving this review will keep you from wasting your hard earned money with Matt Baker. He is incredibly rude, unprofessional, does not return calls or meet deadlines after you pay him up front and the work he does is the minimum he can get away with. Don’t throw your money away.
This guy was the worst lawyer I've ever had didn't show up for court was unprepared doesn't respond to phone calls took the money promised big things and did not hire do not hire this guy absolutely do not hire this guy
On December 9, 2022, I traveled from out of state to meet with Attorney Baker to discuss legal representation for a civil lawsuit regarding tree piracy under the Kentucky Revised Statute (KRS 364.130). During our meeting, Attorney Baker assured me that my case was significant and that legal fees would ultimately be covered by the defendants. He required an initial payment of $5,000, which I provided via check. This check was cashed within three hours of our meeting. Since that initial meeting, more than two years have passed, and Attorney Baker has failed to take any meaningful legal action on my behalf. After realizing Attorney Baker had taken no action on my case, I filed formal complaints with both the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office and the Kentucky Bar Association. Investigations from both entities found no record of any legal work conducted by Mr. Baker regarding my case. This strongly suggests that he engaged in professional misconduct. Respectfully, Christopher Berry

Matt is a liar. He cost me thousands of dollars and screwed up the case because he is lazy and simply doesn’t care. Save your money, represent yourself.
