Robinson Hungate, P.C. is a law firm with an office in Boulder, CO. At this office location, there are 3 lawyers practicing business litigation, commercial litigation, commercial arbitration and 63 other areas of law.
The firm made significant decisions on matters such as strategy and approach without consulting me, was resistant to input when questioned, and substantially underestimated the cost of the litigation. They remind me of doctors who treat patients without informing or consulting them and who are uncooperative and dismissive when asked to explain or justify their decisions or actions.
I hired Ken to settle a remodeling dispute. Over the course of a year, the other side would ignore most of Ken's requests to generate legal filings and paperwork that added cost to my case, but did nothing to resolve it nor further anyone's interests except Ken's ability to invoice me for more time. I eventually found another lawyer to help me. I notified Ken of this, and it clearly upset him. On the eve of mediation, even though he no longer represented me, Ken sent an e-mail to the other side and the mediator declaring that he was dropping me as a client due to payment issues. First, there were no payment issues - period. I was then billed $650 to generate this chaos. Ken put his own ego and perceived status among peers before his client in a display of complete incompetence. I won my case anyway, unrepresented. It was a simple case. Ken made the entire ordeal 10x more stressful, expensive and time consuming than it ever should have been.
