Hired Attorney

Do not hire this attorney. Handled a civil litigation case for me and due to her ignorance of statute of limitations, I was unable to recover damages. When I would ask her about court filings relevant to my case, she would usually respond in an irritated fashion telling me she was very busy and that she would file as soon as she could. She typically would enter filings at the last minute. Although initially supportive of my case, when the defendant filed a countersuit, Ms. Rutenberg became more accusatory. Although she had advised me to file a suit, she now said that it was my fault the defendant had counter suit. Upon receiving this counter suit, Ms Ruttenberg suddenly declined to represent me any further and, despite my request has never sent me an itemized statement reflecting the retainer I paid her. Overall, I found her to be unprofessional, un knowledgeable, and unreliable.
