In September 2022, I hired Steven J Fields to represent me in a difficult divorce. His hourly rate was $600 per hour, and the consultation fee is $600 per hour. I placed my trust in him and his paralegal. I began to wonder if I made a mistake in November 2022. Motions filed improperly. Mistakes made by he and his paralegal that they billed me for. I have proof. When he withdrew as my lawyer - I was given records. In them - information for other clients! Steve withdrew after I asked him why there had been a hearing to continue the case and he had not made me aware. He told me I was a difficult client and that his paralegal wanted him to fire me several times. Steve did not like to answer questions. I never felt that he had the proper focus on my case. I paid him over $30,000 and we had not gotten to mediation! I wish I had not hired Steve. I am now Pro Se as I spent all I had with him.
