Mr. Gallitano has a diverse civil and commercial litigation practice. He concentrates his practice in the areas of employment law, professional liability, and business litigation. Mr. Gallitano serves as Co-Chair of the firm's Employment Law Practice Group and on the firm's Management Committee.
Mr. Gallitano has been regularly recognized by Boston Magazine as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer. Since 2007 he has been recognized as a Top 100 Super Lawyer in Massachusetts in the areas of employment and business litigation. In 2014 and 2015, Mr. Gallitano was recognized as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in New England. Additionally, since 2014 Mr. Gallitano was recognized as a Best Lawyer®. Mr. Gallitano has an AV Peer Review Rating in The Martindale-Hubbell Lawyers Directory.
Mr. Gallitano's employment practice focuses on advising and representing employers on a broad range of matters, including employment policies and procedures, drafting and negotiating employment and separation agreements, defending wrongful termination, sexual harassment and other discrimination claims, as well as the enforcement of non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. Mr. Gallitano also advises executives in connection with the negotiation of employment and separation agreements.
In 2007, Mr. Gallitano was appointed by Governor Deval Patrick to serve as Chair of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) Advisory Board. He previously chaired a search committee charged with identifying qualified candidates for senior positions within the MCAD.
In the area of professional liability defense, Mr. Gallitano primarily represents attorneys in the defense of malpractice claims and in matters before the Board of Bar Overseers. Mr. Gallitano also lectures on developments in legal and medical professional liability defense.
Mr. Gallitano is currently Managing Partner of the Firm.
