At Sloane and Walsh, Ms. Finkelstein focuses her practice in litigation and insurance law including insurance extra contractual law, coverage law, and first party claims counsel work.
Prior to Sloane and Walsh, Ms. Finkelstein practiced at a Hartford, CT-based law firm where she advised and counseled clients regarding compliance with state and federal employment law and anti-discrimination statutes. She also represented clients in court and before the Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities, participated in mediations and attended hearings, drafted motions, legal memoranda, settlement agreements, and discovery requests and responses.
Previously, Ms. Finkelstein served as a law clerk at the Superior Court of Connecticut in Middletown, CT where she assisted judges with legal research on pending matters in the trial court. Mara also edited, proofread, and cite checked memoranda of decisions and evaluated the legal analysis for clarity.
Ms. Finkelstein is a graduate of the University of Connecticut College of Law (JD 2016) where she was a student mediator at the University of Connecticut School of Law Mediation Clinic.
