My mother died at 100 in 2020. She had lived in Needham for 70 years. Her only assets were her home built in 1950 and some CDs and checking accounts. Jennifer's firm created a trust for my mother's estate in 2017. We did this to avoid probate. We spent over $5,000 executing the trust and yet little was completed. When I asked how much Jennifer expected we would have to spend to finish the work, she said between 10-15K. This seemed crazy for such a garden-variety trust. I went on line and the average cost is about 5K for executing the inheritance. We then stopped using Jennifer and asked that the work she had done so far, for which we had paid, be sent to us. Eleven days later we still have no material from her. We even offered to pick it up personally but they were "still assembling it." We have not been pleased and I encourage others to ask for a cost estimate upfront. The pricing model is more like the opaque world of heath care pricing.
