Glenn Langley focuses his practice on commercial litigation, energy, general business matters, and commercial bankruptcy. He provides general legal counsel to law enforcement agencies and government entities as well as tort and civil rights defense.
Glenn is a lifelong resident of Louisiana, born in Mamou and moving to North Louisiana in 1979 after receiving his Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University Law Center in Baton Rouge in 1979.
Glenn began his practice in 1979 with Hargrove, Guyton, Ramey & Barlow and became a partner in that firm in 1984. He left and became a partner at Cook, Yancey, King & Galloway in 1992. In 2004, Glenn joined the Hargrove, Smelley & Strickland firm, becoming a partner in 2005 when the firm was renamed Hargrove, Smelley, Strickland & Langley. He is now a founding partner of Langley, Parks, Horton & Maxwell, LLC.
Glenn has been a member of the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel since 1986, and he is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and the Harry V. Booth Inn of Court. He is a member of the Shreveport and Bossier Bar Associations, the Louisiana Bar Association, and the Supreme Court of Louisiana as well as the Bar Association of the United States Fifth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is admitted to practice in all federal courts in this state. Glenn is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police and the National Sheriff’s Association.
Glenn serves on the Louisiana State Bar Assocation Committee on Bar Admissions and has a Martindale Hubbell peer rating of AV.
