Hired the law firm for Dan Hardee, whom I've never even seen nor met. I got assigned a different lawyer. I paid $5000 upfront and was 'guaranteed' that they will represent me until the case ended. My final court date is in 2 weeks, so they notified me to pay another lump sum immediately or I'll be representing myself in court in 2 weeks.
Greg was inattentive, unprepared, and dishonest about the work he was doing on my case. His advice and guidance turned out to be harmful, and when he was confronted about a lack of performance he filed a motion to withdraw from the case in the middle of negotation without first having a discussion or giving an explanation. He refused to return any portion of the retainer, only provided a portion of my legal file.
Trent isn't knowledgeable about child support calculations or the current laws regarding custody. He's slow to respond to his client. He's afraid to confront the opposing attorney. He wastes time and your money. Do Not Use Him!
Made an agreement on what work would be done on my custody modification. Was working it out through mediation and told the lawyers to stand by until that process was done only to find that they had billed me several thousand dollars worth of "work" during that time. They claimed it was necessary and they knew what was best for me - after all I had retained their services and paid them a retainer. I never actually used any of the documents they "created" on my behalf and they never could show they actually created them. When I pointed this out and told them that I wasn't going to pay for work they didn't do, they sued me for the legal fees. Unreal.
