Davis & Walker is a law firm with an office in Boise, ID. At this office location, there are 2 lawyers practicing family law, divorce, child custody and 5 other areas of law.
After my divorce, I was faced with isolation from my children, culminating in a frantic defense against a motion for full custody. Part of the the expensive and emotional trial process required three mediation sessions. We were assigned to Layne Davis. Arriving prepared, Layne first created a safe and inclusive environment and then focused on clarifying perceptions and mutual concerns, and then guiding collaboration and analysis on previously hidden solutions. Regrettably, the matter didn't settle, but not for the lack of skill and effort of the mediator. While maintaining professional and impartial standards, Layne truly understood and empathized with the obstacles from both sides. Creating, for the first time in a lengthy, expensive and painful experience, a sense that hope was not just wishful thinking. I'm writing this review because I want more people undergoing similar or worse conflict to feel this hope and avoid even one day of unnecessary pain. Good luck!

Layne provided the best preparation for trial that was available and he showed extreme empathy. I would highly recommend Layne to anyone considering divorce through mediation. I was never in support of mediation but Layne did such a great job that I would highly recommend it to anyone trying to get out of a marriage.
