Ray is a phonominal attorney, I've worked with other attorneys in the past who never return your call. He represented me in a real estate case last year and he litigated the case and we won. He's honest, hard-working and very personable. If I ever need a lawyer again, I'll definitely be calling him again.
I hired Ray Paparella to see if a Trust could be contested. Ray was friendly/eager to help. I chose him because he had flexible terms due to my limited finances. He wrote 2 letters for me; 1 was approx. 250 words to an atty. and 1 was approx. 160 words to a realtor. The finding was that the Trust couldn’t be contested. He proposed we stop and he would give a refund from the $5800 retainer. I got an $800 refund but there was no accounting at all for the $5000 billed at $425 per hr. or $7 per min. Previous legal services I retained had detailed records of work/time spent. I’m very unhappy the 2 letters and other unaccounted work added up to a very round and convenient number of $5000. To be exact, $5000 at $425/hr. is 11.764 hrs. or 705.882 mins. I can understand any round number in relation to time spent, but in my opinion, the likelihood of 11.764 hours of undocumented time is questionable. I consider this to be highly unprofessional and I can’t recommend the services of Ray Paparella.
