Mr. Garwood is not proficient in managing his workload, and takes on more cases than he can reasonably accommodate. Client communications are meager and clumsy/careless. Multiple times throughout our lengthy case, I had to remind Mr. Garwood that we/the executor/the court were waiting for something from him. In a few instances this substantially extended the timeline. Our executor (also an attorney) reported to us that he faced the same issues when dealing with Mr. Garwood. I would not recommend him.
Brian Garwood failed to obtain court approval of my legal guardianship of my disabled son on the first attempt, despite his assurance it "should not be a problem". This failure was due to his lack of completing the proper forms for the court's consideration. He would not acknowledge his error(s) and still proceeded to charge me for something he had failed to accomplish--in fact charging me twice what he had originally quoted before I asked him to proceed. Inexperienced and lacks knowledge.
We went to Brian Garwood for an amendment to my elderly mom's trust and will. Despite repeated promises we have not yet received his work. We met with him on August 1st 2022 and it is February 27, 2023. Seven months of excuses. We really thought this company was reputable. I will never recommend them.
