Lorne Gold came highly recommended by another local attorney, who vouched for Lorne as “the best divorce lawyer in Detroit.” During initial consultations, Mr. Gold spoke frankly and identified potential strategies, strengths, and weaknesses in my case. As a seasoned and experienced lawyer, Mr. Gold clearly understand the divorce process and anticipated and positions of the courts, as well as likely rebuttals and arguments from the opposing counsel. Subsequently watching Mr. Gold in action was a true work of art, as he was a masterful and diplomatic negotiator from beginning to end. In Machiavellian terms, Mr. Gold can be both the lion and fox in courtroom and when dealing with the opposing counsel! Mr. Gold negotiated a final settlement that was fair and exceeded all of my expectations, while simultaneously facilitating an amicable divorce and cordial relationship with my now ex-wife. Mr. Gold settled my entire case from beginning to end in about five-weeks.

Lorne is a very easy attorney to work with. He understood my needs as a client and worked to complete my divorce without creating unnecessary turmoil and additional costs. The overall service I got from Lorne was excellent and I have no complaints. What I prized most about him, though, was his ability to express his opinion on my case, and explain the law/my rights, while also respecting my decisions and feelings. In a divorce proceeding, which is such a sensitive thing, I believe this to be an invaluable quality in a lawyer. Knowing he had my back in such a way made a very difficult time more tolerable.
