I went to this law firm for a simple Financial POA for 92 year old father. I called in advance and was quoted a fee of $150. Advised they would call me back when papers were ready to sign. Never called after several days. I called them back and they advised info was lost. They took info again and called me back to come in and have father sign. Took him to office, signed papers with attorney and notarized, then I was handed a bill for $275. No mention of fee difference. When questioned about the difference they admitted they quoted me an incorrect fee. This would have upset my father. I paid the fee and left. This isn’t honest business practice. I should have been told in advance I was quoted wrong fee and given the opportunity to decline the POA. If asked would I recommend this firm, I would reply no.
I hired this firm to represent me in a divorce suit. They eagerly took my 5K retainer. There are strict timetables for discovery and depositions and they failed to request these be produced in a timely manner. I was the one that had to keep contacting them to make sure the case was moving along. The timetable for production of documents and taking a deposition expired and these were never produced in their entirety. By this time my retainer had been consumed, and I was essentially no further ahead than my first visit. I had to fire them for their unprofessional service. When I informed them by e mail I would be out of town on vacation, they billed me for that!
