Casie C. Rodenberger grew up in rural Whatcom County, where she excelled in athletics, competing in Track & Field at the State Championship, and participated in local symphonies playing the bassoon. She graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Social Work and later earned a Master of Social Work from Washington University in St. Louis. Casie then worked as a medical social worker in Bellingham, Washington, where she witnessed the legal challenges faced by her clients, inspiring her to pursue a legal career.
Casie obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law. During her studies, she interned with the Honorable Mark W. Bennett of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa and the Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. She also served as a managing editor on the Iowa Law Review, publishing a note on Medicare audits. Following law school, Casie practiced private criminal defense in Whatcom and Skagit Counties, assisting clients with trials, motions, and licensing matters. In 2020, she joined Whatcom Law Group, where she focuses on complex civil motions, contract disputes, and trial work.
