Would constantly change the facts of what was happening with my case. I eventually had to record our calls and actually have him lying and then admitting to lying to me. He inexperienced and gets frustrated when he doesn't know what to do and takes it out on other people. The last time I spoke with him I asked him if he could do this or if he was in over his head and he told me about how he got great grades in college. That stuck with me. I felt like I was talking with a college student, someone not ready for this job. Find yourself an attorney with real experience. One that has so much real world experience they don't even remember their grades at this point. An old friend of mine put me in touch with a professor/attorney at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law who told me to absolutely get rid of him. The next day I fired him. I have now filed a grievance against Matt with the state. Matt either had no idea what he was doing or he took advantage of a death for easy money.
