Daniel Newton joined Adams and Reese in 2011 as an Associate in the firm's Birmingham office, practicing in the Special Business Services Practice Group. He has experience in banking and finance law and labor and employment matters.
Daniel was a former law clerk with Adams and Reese in the summer of 2011 and has summer associate experience, preparing briefs for a multi-million dollar receivership litigation and assisting in trial preparation for cases in various state and federal courts.
Before attending law school, Daniel was the Information Technology Manager and Assistant Maintenance Manager for a residential, office, retail and resort company in which he maintained approximately $25 million worth of rental properties.
Daniel's other accomplishments include:
• Serving as the Washington and Lee University School of Law's Liaison to the University Sustainability Committee.
• Working as a research assistant for a publication of the National Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies.
• Being selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. Daniel received his J.D from Washington and Lee University School of Law, in 2011, and earned his B.A. in Economics from Auburn University, in 2007. Among the people Daniel admires is his grandfather who, raised on a farm in rural southwestern Alabama, was the first in his family to attend college. As a soldier and member of this country's "greatest generation," he taught Daniel the value of hard work and the importance of staying true to one's roots and values. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys spending time with his lovely wife and family and also enjoys gardening, carpentry, ultra-light backpacking, and following Auburn University athletics.
