Bob Carey is Special Counsel with Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP in its Binghamton, NY office. He has a broad based real estate practice, representing buyers, sellers and lenders (institutional and private) in both residential and commercial transactions, for which he has extensive experience in document preparation and title examination. His practice also includes the negotiation and preparation of real estate leases, purchase/sale options, rights of first refusal, land contracts and easements.
Bob also handles transactional and other general matters for business clients, with emphasis in the areas of the formation, acquisition and sale of New York entities, and the financing of those events, both through loan placements and equity offerings.
Bob has also been approved to accept court appointments to serve as receiver and guardian ad litem in adversarial matters involving complex business and real estate situations.
A native of Endwell, NY, Bob was a long-time member of the Board of Directors and Vice President of The Roger L. Kresge Foundation. In addition, he was a member of the Board of Directors of RISE (formerly the SOS Shelter), for whom he also served as Treasurer.
