In 2012 I received the award of Criminal Defense Attorney of the year by the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Criminal Justice Section. I am rated AV by the peer-reviewed Martindale Hubbell rating system, the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards. I am currently a member of the executive committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Criminal Justice Section, and previously served as a member of the executive committee of the California State Bar, Criminal Law Section. I have been attorney of record through trial in 10 death penalty cases. In the past seven years I have made presentations to or been a panelist in seminars presented to the Los Angeles Criminal Courts Bar Association, the Indigent Criminal Defense Appointments(ICDA) program, and the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office covering topics such as defending sex crime prosecutions, challenging search warrants, strategies in jury selection, techniques of cross-examination, stategies for working with difficult clients, and challenging Perkins(Illinois vs. Perkins) operations.

Hired Attorney

Anybody looking to hire a defense attorney would be a fool not to hire Robert A. Schwartz. Mr. Schwartz represented me for five years as I fought a serious case; professional, conscientious, reliable, and an unfathomable attention to detail are just a few adjectives to describe this impressive man. Not only is he the greatest lawyer I could have asked for, he is also determined to meet the personal needs of every single one of his clients. This is incredibly important since not many attorneys go above and beyond for their clients like Bob Schwartz does. Mr. Schwartz is a winner! He is successful in nearly all of his cases, but more importantly he wants to make sure his clients are comfortable and well informed while going through these painful and oftentimes emotional judicial hearings. Every time Bob came to visit me to go over legal matters or prepare for my testimony for trial I felt as though I was given a law lesson by a distinguished tenured professor. He literally saved my life.
