Hired Attorney

Worst attorney I have ever had. Consulted with her in May to see if she would take my case As I had used her dad for a custody case before he died. I hired her in August and sent the retainer which she said would well cover the cost of the child support modification. when I got my bill this month she charged me for the consultation fee in May which was never ever discussed prior in any way. How was she supposed to take my case if she didn’t discuss the matter with me and could not provide any proof that I ever agreed to a consult fee. I have had several lawyers who I have paid their consult fee because it was discussed prior but you can’t charge me 3 months later! Since August she has done nothing on my case. She apparently has a legal secretary but not a paralegal and charges her hourly rate for everything which is insane. She charged me a full hour just to send me the attorney agreement which is something that is already drawn up and not at all personalized to any case. Horrible

The Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings process is the gold standard due to its objectivity and comprehensiveness. Lawyers solicited for peer reviews include both those selected by the attorney being reviewed and lawyers independently selected by Martindale-Hubbell. All reviewers are verified as attorneys through Martindale-Hubbell’s extensive attorney database. Only attorneys practicing at least three years and receiving a sufficient number of reviews from non-affiliated attorneys are eligible to receive a Rating.

What are the different Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings?*
