I founded my firm in 2018 to represent people and families facing catastrophic personal injuries. My legal training began on the government side as a clerk with the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office and an advocate with the United States Attorney’s Office, and I later defended corporations in complex, high-stakes litigation. Seeing how often ordinary people can be steamrolled by power in the legal system changed the direction of my career, and I committed to using the same tools and tactics to protect plaintiffs. I have successfully represented clients dealing with life-altering and fatal injuries, as well as survivors of sexual assault, harassment, and discrimination in high-profile cases in San Francisco, Hollywood, and Napa, and I work to safeguard my clients’ dignity at every step. My background as a philosopher, teacher, and writer shapes my approach: in addition to being a lawyer, I hold a PhD from New York University and have received teaching awards at Stanford, UC, and NYU.
