I am extremely thankful that a friend recommended hiring Brian Burke for my divorce. I have a difficult ex-husband who hired a difficult attorney - the divorce was messy, but Brian handled it with the utmost professionalism and looked out for my best interest the entire time. He did not allow the other attorney to bully me, even though she tried, and he went above and beyond to reach a settlement on terms that best suited me. I won't be looking for another attorney, and I highly recommend him!
Working with Brian was a horrid experience. It seemed like he never got anywhere with my case yet I paid him tens of thousands of dollars. Ended up parting ways after it appeared like he kept getting numerous trial dates postponed and I still had to hire another attourney. In my oppinion the only thing he is excellent at is billing you till your broke. I wish I had never made contact with him.
Hired for a divorce case. Ex and I agreed on everything, just needed to get to mediation. He refused over several months. After being dragged out for 6 months, and re-upping (my mistake) I finally fired him, and instantly went to mediation with another attorney and got it settled. He was handling another case for me, got that one finished, then he decided to change the payment, and charge me another couple grand, and acted like he was doing me a favor. His main goal seems to be to have you pay him multiple times and drag out as long as possible. He also is terrible at responding and getting back to you. Would pay double to another before I would hire this one again. Worthless.
Mr. Burke was impossible to get into contact and when he did respond it was with one sentence email responses. Not to mention that he discussed my case with people other than myself.
Brian does not return calls and took 2 years to resolve a construction overpayment dispute. There were periods of time that no works was done for months at a time. We settled, it took 2 weeks for him to file the settlement agreement and there was no follow up for the 7 day settlement payment deadline. It has been 3 weeks since the settlement was filed and we still cannot get a return call. I would not recommend his services to anyone.
