Afterward, I learned that Mr. Hattaway was publicly disciplined by the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board in 2024 for neglecting a client’s case, failing to communicate, and practicing law while ineligible. The Board found that his misconduct caused nearly $90,000 in damages to a client, and it imposed a 60-day suspension (fully deferred).
