Brooke is a good attorney. She makes you feel like you are her only client. She responds quickly and is honest about the case. I like that she tells you how it is and not what you want to hear. I highly recommend her.
My experience with Melissa Joos as a GAL was disappointing. She spoke with the opposing party but never contacted me for my side of the situation, which felt unfair and one-sided. When my guardianship request was denied, she also did not provide a clear explanation for the decision. Overall, her lack of communication and transparency made it difficult to trust the process.
Brooke Joos is not very professional! She was my GAL and only spoke to me once, and that was the day before my court date! Went to court, and she basically sat there and said nothing on my part! I then contacted her right after the court hearing, called her and no answer, I left a voicemail and no answer, went to a 2nd court date, and she had still not communicated with me! I would NEVER recommend her to assist any children in Rock County! She was in the hallway of the courthouse waiting for our hearing talking about a whole different case with names and details out loud where the whole public could hear! Very un-professional!
Brooke joos has got to be the worst person alive! She's one sided, incompetent to manipulation. With very little investigations she felt the child should live full time with a felon of child abuse. Unbelievable
As a GAL, she does not communicate with both parties involved. She only spoke with me once, while she spoke with my ex-husband several times. She did not inform me of the 4 times my ex-husband brought my kids in for interviews with her and did not initiate any contact with me to hear any other side of the story except for his. She lacks the necessary skills to detect a manipulating parent. A Dane county attorney I spoke with thinks Brooke Joos is worthless, as is the Rock County Family Courts.
