About John Paul Turner

In 2006, John was recognized as a "Rising Star" by Washington Law & Politics Magazine. John represents property owners in condemnation matters and for the past 18 years has limited his practice to the areas of condemnation and complex real estate litigation. The majority of John's clients are individual private property owners and corporations facing the threat of losing their real estate through condemnation.

John's condemnation practice has involved nearly every governmental jurisdiction in Washington State and range in size from small acquisitions to cases where just compensation and damages are substantial. Over the past 18 years, John has successfully concluded over 500 separate condemnation cases including a $14 million dollar food manufacturing and processing facility against King County; a $22 million dollar commercial assemblage against the Port of Seattle; and a combined $34 million of real estate for the Brightwaters Treatment Project. In 2004, John was the lead attorney in successfully representing NW Center in the $16.5 million acquisition of their Interbay Campus Facility in downtown Seattle.
