This professional is unusually quick to perceive the true issues in a case and to provide clearly intelligent representation.
John Karas is and excellent Lawyer, who will fight for your rights.
This attorney told me he was prepared for trial, we got to trial, and he had not even filed the proper paperwork to allow me to get a divorce. He had over one year to prepare, he charged me over $10,000 and then he admitted he made a mistake but would not correct it or return the funds I had to pay him. I do not recommend him.
Attorney Karas failed to file divorce complaint and only realized this on day of trial, was not truthful to client, did not diligently represent client, ignored client's wishes for representation.
John Karas failed to meet deadlines (inc. filing for temporary support, I had been an at home mom & had no income). He arrived late to court & was completely unprepared. At one point he accidentally handed me my entire file, I'm not sure he ever realized he misplaced it! The final "agreement" was completely in my ex-husband's favor. I'm now working with another lawyer to try to undo some of the damage done. This was a shocking and traumatic time for me, yet his office seemed very cold & uncaring.
After 13 months of paying in excess of $12,000 and one day before my divorce trial, I learned that John Karas had failed to submit a complaint for absolute divorce & he was not prepared for trial. He refused to conduct an in person deposition of my ex- husband failed to file motions with the court or collect timely discovery. He told me to ignore that my child had bruises and signs of abuse when returning from custody exchanges. In my opinion, he did not care about nor respect the client.
