Mr. Dechant was of great assistance in an estate matter. He was incredibly responsive and demonstrated a great deal of compassion during a difficult time. We found him to be trustworthy and he explained things to us in a way that we could understand. Everything was taken care of and we were very pleased.
Beware when you can get an appointment for consultation almost immediately. Mr. Dechant seemed sketchy from the beginning during the consultation at which he said "If you get the waiver notice, just sign it". After waiting 2-weeks for a call back with update on fees and retainer costs, I had to visit his office to get any information. I was seen right away, and the first words out of his mouth were "have you heard anything?" Astounded, I replied back "No! Have you?" to which his response was that he only has done a cursory review of the case. I so wanted to say "You're fired!", however since I hadn't paid any retainer as yet, I simply told him I do not need his services, gathered back my documentation, and walked out of the office to never return.
