Duane was able to review our situation on the same day that we called him and resolved the issue on that day. We were very pleased with the service and attention to the legel problem we had.
Horrible experience. Rob Schafer took it upon himself to go against everything that a living relative told him. Then later said “ he had to deal with her”. This isn’t funny at all. I have never seen this level of incompetence. All about bilking as much money as possible out of anything he can yet ignores directives. I left but should have left two years sooner.
He refused to acknowledge any type of defense except the acceptance of plea deal. He ignored my major scheduling conflict of trial dates and expected I appear for every little thing even though it cost me hundreds of dollars each time. He refused to file any motions or use any of the evidence to prove my innocence or allow me to appeal a conviction. On top of allowing me to be bullied into accepting responsibility for a crime I didn't commit he allowed me to be arrested for failure to appear when he never notified me of them. I found out later that when I spoke to him regarding my afternoon court appearance that morning, he had hung up and went into court for my 3rd failure to appear never having said a word to me. The only thing he was ever interested in was plea deal. In 2017 he did the same to a friend who ended up in prison for something that wasn't even illegal due to plea deal!!!
This piece of garbage STEAMROLLED AND SCAMMED ME. HE WAS LATE. HE said he was aggressive but he laid down like a dog on my case. He allowed a pro se litigant to CRUSH him with hearsay evidence. No objections. GARBAGE.
Duane Smith should not be used for trusts or estate planning. He handled our family trust. He rewrote things 3 times through the years but the final one was the clinker. He suggested to my dad, while Dad was recovering from a stroke, that he needed to change his trustee to a local trust company, (the one he likes typically works through). Dad, not thinking clearly in the hospital, said sure ok. In the process of doing this, Duane took it upon himself to also remove a portion regarding purchas
