Jeffrey W. Gallup is a Principal in the Cleveland law firm of Singerman, Mills, Desberg & Kauntz Co., L.P.A., where he practices primarily in the areas of business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, general corporate law and commercial real estate law.
Mr. Gallup focuses his transaction practice on corporate and business law, real estate law and commercial finance. Mr. Gallup counsels business owners, senior level executives and boards of directors on various legal matters. Mr. Gallup often serves as outside general counsel for many closely-held businesses and represents businesses in many industries including manufacturing, distribution, commercial real estate, retail, professional services, technology and banking. Mr. Gallup has served as transaction counsel on hundreds of complex transactions worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Mr. Gallup’s practice includes the representation of buyers and sellers in corporate mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, reorganizations and joint ventures; owners, buyers, landlords and tenants in commercial real estate leasing, acquisitions, dispositions and development matters; owners and investors in entity formation, capitalization, operation, restructuring, corporate governance and succession planning matters; and buyers, sellers, manufacturers and distributors in product and equipment purchases, manufacturing, supply and distribution arrangements, and intellectual property matters.
Mr. Gallup is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, as well as the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association where he is a member of both the Business, Banking & Corporate Counsel Section and the Real Estate Law Section. Mr. Gallup has served as the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer of the Real Estate Law Section, as well as a member of the Real Estate Law Institute Planning Committee.
Mr. Gallup was selected to the 2009-2010 Ohio Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers Magazine. From 2009-2019, Mr. Gallup served as a co-editor of Matthew Bender & Company’s publications, Ohio Transaction Guide and Current Legal Forms.
Mr. Gallup received a B.S. in health sciences (1994) and an M.S. in physical therapy (1995) from Boston University. Mr. Gallup earned his Juris Doctor (cum laude) from Case Western Reserve University, School of Law (2003). Prior to entering law school, Mr. Gallup practiced as a licensed physical therapist for several hospital systems and healthcare facilities in Florida and Ohio.
