W. D. Murphy, Jr. (deceased, 1987) and W. J. "Bill" Arnold (deceased, 1969) founded the firm in 1956. This firm evolved over the years into the present law firm of Murphy, Thompson, Arnold, Skinner & Castleberry, which offers a wide range of legal services including civil and criminal practice both at the trial and appellate levels.
Bill Arnold handled my custody case. He was prompt to respond, clear in his communication, and accurate with his information. His knowledge of the law and rapport within the legal community was invaluable. I felt that he genuinely cared for my family and that compassion was evident in his actions.
Kim and Tom did a great job representing me through my divorce proceedings. They were very thorough, timely, and did everything they could to be sure that I was treated fairly. Their experience and reputation with people in the legal community helped insure the proceedings went expeditiously and without incident. I could not have asked for a better legal team.
Mr. Tom Thompson of this law firm handled my divorce. He and his staff were very nice and made a difficult time so much easier. My divorce was over fast, fair, and without a bit of trouble. The cost was fair.
If you call needing an attorney and don't know what each specialize in or how much they charge, you can't make an appointment. You have to be able to say exactly which attorney you wish to see even if you know nothing about any of them nor even their names. The receptionist is incapable of making a recommendation nor can she list the capabilities or even the price of each. Obviously a broken scheduling process. I had to give up on this office and move on to find someone else.
