You cannot file bankruptcy on student loan. *They must be paid.* the most you can do is to work out a payment arrangement with the lenders.

Should I file for bankruptcy if I am on SSDI and I have a lot of debt?

I would like to know how much debt you would be able to eliminate, whether any of your debt is for taxes or student loans, and whether you have any court judgments against you or other property that would be vulnerable to being seized by a creditor with a court judgment. As a general rule, someone without wages that can be garnished or assets that could be lost by an attachment other can chose to file bankruptcy if they wish, but it is not necessary.

If we file bankruptcy and move out of the U.S., will we be denied a visa/citizenship because of the bankruptcy?

This question should be asked of someone who practices immigration law in the specific country that you are considering as every country has its own immigration policies and procedures. It wouldn't seem like it would be an issue, after all the filing for bankruptcy is not a criminal act, but only someone familiar with the laws of your desired destination country can advise you.
