Would a few day delay of payment on a chapter 13 cause my case to be dismissed?

It would take longer than a delay in payments by a few days for your Chapter 13 case to be dismissed in Nevada. In fact, it often takes 6 weeks just for the trustee to obtain a hearing date before the judge to present the case for dismissing your Chapter 13. However, the worse time to be late with payments is at the time of the confirmation hearing. If your payments are not current on the date of confirmation, the confirmation cannot take place. In most instances, the Chapter 13 Trustee will delay your confirmation hearing by a month or so in order to see if you can catch up on your payments.
