Bankruptcy Chapter 7 for LLC in New York but entity is in CA - can I do this from New York and pro bono?

Answered by attorney Michael D. Siegel
Bankruptcy lawyer at Siegel & Siegel, P.C.
No one is going to help you pro bono.  If it is worth doing, it is worth paying for a lawyer to do it.  You likely can file in NY, but more information is needed.

If he is filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy his obligation to indemnify and hold hold you harmless from the mortgage company coming after you for payment is nondischargeable.

Location rent

Answered by attorney Michael D. Siegel
Bankruptcy lawyer at Siegel & Siegel, P.C.
If you want to stay, you have to pay rent.  You will not owe the past three months, but you have no right to stay there at all.  As soon as your case is over, or before if stay relief is obtained, you will be evicted in a holdover.
