Can I file chapter 13 bankruptcy with my daughter for a car I cosigned for her that she let go back and not affect my husband?

Answered by attorney Stuart M. Nachbar
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Stuart M. Nachbar, P.C.
Your husband and daughter can't file together. You and your husband can file together even with the loan. I am in NJ.

I need advice for my parents

Bankruptcy is an option.  If they cannot manage their affairs, guardianship is an option.  If they have no money and no assets, doing nothing is an option.

Is this a good time to file Chapter 7?

If you are not able to pay your bills as they come do, then considering whether or not to file bankruptcy is a good choice. Their a pros and cons, but my first instinct would be to say you should probably file a chapter 7 in the near future, and start to get back on your feet again with a fresh start.
