If my truck has been towed, can I put it under chapter 13 to get it back?

Yes. You can get your car back through a chapter 13 if there has not been too much time since repossession. Time is of the essence however. If you do not take prompt action, bankruptcy will not be able to help you.

If I'm a co-Owner on a home and I filed bankruptcy but its still on credit report, what can I do to get it off my record?

Diane L Drain

Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of D. L. Drain, P.A.
Your attorney was correct - the discharge eliminated your legal obligation to pay the debt. Your credit report is correct - you still own the property.

If I claimed chapter 7 bankruptcy and was current on payments, would it affect the co signer's credit?

Answered by attorney Roger J Bus (Unclaimed Profile)
Bankruptcy lawyer at Debt Relief Law Center
You must list all debt on your bankruptcy schedules including any debt that you intend to repay. Make sure the creditor knows your intentions right away to repay the debt. The courts will generally not approve reaffirmation agreements on unsecured cosigned debt- but most creditors will continue to accept your payments.
