Need to get Chptr 13 Dismissed

Answered by attorney Mark J Markus
Bankruptcy lawyer at Law Office of Mark J. Markus
If you filed without an attorney, you are responsible for knowing the laws and procedures and how to file Motions, such as a Motion to Dismiss your case. Sounds like this would be a good time to have a consultation with a bankruptcy attorney in your area for more details on how to accomplish your goals. Mark Markus has been practicing exclusively bankruptcy law in California since 1991.  He is a Certified Specialist in Bankruptcy Law by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization,  AV-Rated by martindale.com, and A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau.

Is there any way around this other than foreclosure?

Susan Green Taylor
Answered by attorney Susan Green Taylor (Unclaimed Profile)

You need to be careful. At this point you are not liable for any deficiency once sold. You might need the help of a consumer law attorney, because the mortgagee's only recourse is against the property, and it appears they are affecting you personally that is, their reporting status is preventing you from purchasing another property.
